Privacy Policy
Effective date: August 25, 2026
Hive Intelligence ("Hive", "we", "our") provides crypto data infrastructure and MCP tools for AI applications. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, how we share it, and the choices available to you.
The controller of the personal data described here is Hive Intelligence. Where we instead process personal data on your behalf as a processor, our Data Processing Addendum governs that processing.
1. Information We Collect
- Account information: the email address you sign up with. There is no password. Access is through GitHub or Google sign-in, or a one-time code emailed to that address.
- Information you provide: support messages and communications sent through official channels.
- Usage and technical data: IP address, browser and device details, request logs, timestamps, and diagnostics.
- Service telemetry: which tool was called, whether it succeeded, how long it took, which provider answered, and a keyed hash of the calling principal. We do not store tool arguments, response payloads, wallet addresses, or API key values in this telemetry. A subset of it is also sent to Google Analytics from our backend; see section 8.
- Payment data: see section 5.
2. How We Use Information
- Provide, operate, maintain, and improve our services.
- Take payment, manage subscriptions, and keep plan entitlements in sync.
- Detect, prevent, and investigate abuse, fraud, or security incidents.
- Respond to inquiries, support requests, and operational notices.
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms and policies.
3. Legal Bases for Processing
Where applicable, we process personal data based on legitimate interests, contractual necessity, consent, or legal compliance requirements.
4. How We Share Information
We share information with the service providers that operate parts of our platform on our behalf, under contractual controls. Every one of them is named, with its purpose and its processing region, on our subprocessor list. We may also disclose information where required by law or to protect rights, safety, and platform integrity. We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
5. Payment Data
We use two payment processors. Which one handles your payment depends on how you choose to pay. We never receive or store your card number, CVC, or private keys. Card details are entered on Stripe's hosted checkout page and crypto payments are completed on LlamaPay's hosted checkout page.
- Stripe (card payments). Stripe acts as an independent controller for payment processing. We create a Stripe customer record for your account and send Stripe your account email address together with your Hive account identifier and the plan you selected. Stripe collects your card and billing details directly from you and applies its own privacy policy. From Stripe we receive back a customer identifier, a subscription identifier, the subscription status, and the current period end date.
- LlamaPay (crypto payments). LlamaPay acts as an independent controller for crypto checkout. We send LlamaPay the charge amount in US dollars, your Hive account identifier, the plan and billing cycle, and your account email address where one is available. LlamaPay handles the wallet connection and the on-chain transfer and applies its own privacy terms. From LlamaPay we receive back a charge identifier and payment status. A crypto payment is recorded on a public blockchain, which we do not control and cannot erase; the wallet address you pay from and the transaction are public by the nature of that network.
What we store on our own systems for billing is limited to: the processor's customer and subscription identifiers, your plan, your billing status, and the current period end date. We do not store card numbers, bank details, or wallet addresses. Billing records are retained for as long as tax and accounting law requires. The commercial terms these payments are made under are in our Terms of Service.
6. Data Retention
We keep information only as long as we need it for the purpose it was collected for, and then delete or de-identify it. Our current retention periods are:
- Account records: for the life of the account, then deleted when the account is deleted.
- Billing records: for as long as tax and accounting law requires, which is typically seven years, even after an account is closed.
- Support correspondence: as long as needed to resolve the request and keep a record of what was agreed.
- Anonymous-lane rate-limit counters: two days.
- Service telemetry (tool-call events): kept as long as needed for billing accuracy, security, and operations; your dashboard reads daily aggregates, not raw events.
- Request and security logs: as long as needed to operate and secure the service, then deleted or de-identified.
We may keep information longer where the law requires it, or where it is needed to resolve a dispute or investigate a security incident.
7. International Data Transfers
Your information may be processed in countries other than your own. The processing region for each service provider we use is listed on our subprocessor list. Where a transfer leaves the EEA or the UK, we rely on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses and the UK Addendum, together with the transfer terms in each provider's own data processing agreement.
8. Cookies and Similar Technologies
The website sets only the cookies needed to keep you signed in: the session cookies our authentication provider issues. Your theme choice is kept in your browser's local storage, not in a cookie. We do not run advertising or cross-site tracking cookies, and no analytics script runs on this site or in the dashboard. Two qualifications: a Google Analytics tag is served on the separate status page at mcp.hiveintelligence.xyz/status, and pages on this site preconnect to Google's analytics hosts, which exposes your IP address to Google on page load even though no analytics script is loaded. If we later enable an analytics script on this site, it will be named on our subprocessor list before it is switched on, and this section will say so. You can control cookies through your browser settings.
Separately from anything in your browser, our MCP server sends service telemetry to Google Analytics from our own backend, over the GA4 Measurement Protocol. That path uses no cookie and no browser, so a browser setting does not reach it. Most of what it sends carries no identifier at all; one event, sent once per account and client pair, carries pseudonymous hashes derived from your account identifier. Exactly what each event contains is set out under Analytics on our subprocessor list.
9. Security
We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. To report a vulnerability, see our vulnerability disclosure policy.
10. Children's Privacy
Our services are not directed to children under 13, or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
11. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, portability, or restriction of your personal information, to object to certain processing, and to withdraw consent where we rely on it. You also have the right to complain to your local supervisory authority.
To exercise any of these rights, email support@hiveintelligence.xyz from the address on your account, or from another address together with enough detail for us to identify the account. We respond within 30 days. We will tell you if we need to extend that period and why. We do not charge for a request unless it is manifestly unfounded or excessive.
Deletion has one limit we want to state plainly: a payment you made on a public blockchain is a permanent record on that network. We can delete our own records of it, but we cannot erase the on-chain transaction.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated effective date.
13. Contact Us
For privacy-related requests or questions, email support@hiveintelligence.xyz, or reach us through Telegram support, though we ask that rights requests come by email so we have a record of them.
